Along Came a Spider

A female grass spider in her web. These are extremely common spiders in the US, and they tend to make funnel-shaped webs in places like bushes and shrubs. A large network of strands stretches out from the opening of the funnel, and if anything lands on it, she pounces. They look ferocious, but they're really quite harmless.
